From September 25 to 26, 2025, WDF participated in the “25 Chain Leader Alliance – Corporate Sustainability Capability Training Camp” jointly organized by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), Fudan University School of Management, and the First Financial Sustainability Research Center.
From September 25 to 26, 2025, the “25 Chain Leader Alliance – Corporate Sustainability Capability Training Camp” was successfully held at the Zhengli Campus of Fudan University School of Management. The event was jointly organized by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), Fudan University School of Management, and the First Financial Sustainability Research Center. As a member of the United Nations Global Compact, WDF was invited to participate in this event and, through a combination of online and offline participation, explored action paths and management experience for sustainable supply chain development with experts and scholars from academia, international organizations, and leading enterprises in the industry.

A Special Project Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Global Compact
2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Global Compact. The “25 Chain Leader Alliance” project was launched based on the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, aiming to build a sustainable supply chain ecosystem featuring shared responsibility and shared value. The training covered nine modules, including core concepts of sustainable development, climate change and low-carbon management, labor rights, and innovative communication.
Diverse Topics and In-depth Exchanges
First Day of the Training:
Ge Qian, Senior Manager of Content Operations and Global Compact Academy at the United Nations Global Compact Network China: systematically introduced the core concepts of corporate sustainability development, including the interpretation and relationship among the SDGs, the Ten Principles of the Global Compact, and ESG.
Professor Zheng Qinqin from Fudan University School of Management: provided an in-depth interpretation of domestic and international sustainable development policies, ESG disclosure standards, and their impacts on corporate overseas expansion strategies.
Professor Wu Zheying from Fudan University School of Management: focused on ESG requirements in supply chains and shared how compliance responses and strategic planning can bring opportunities and challenges for corporate value creation.
Lin Kaixin, Climate and Environment Program Officer at the United Nations Global Compact Network China, and Li Fei, CDP China Marketing Director: explained the significance of corporate low-carbon transformation and the strong connection with supply chains from the perspectives of climate policies and environmental risks.
Liu Ben, Gender Equality and Diversity & Inclusion Program Officer at the United Nations Global Compact Network China: introduced the application and value of the Women’s Empowerment Principles as a guiding principle document in corporate practices, focusing on decent work, gender equality, and women’s development.

Second Day of the Training:
Wei Siqi, Sustainable Development and Innovation Program Officer at the United Nations Global Compact Network China: explained how companies can identify appropriate target needs during the process of sustainable development, deeply integrate them with corporate strategies, and accelerate innovative development through innovative thinking and the application of new technologies.
Li Lekana, Membership Development and Affairs Officer at the United Nations Global Compact: elaborated on the value of UNGC resources and platforms and the effective use of learning tools.
Zhou Xufeng, Strategic Director of the First Financial Sustainability Research Center and Secretary-General of the First Financial Public Welfare Foundation: started from effective communication between enterprises and stakeholders, explored the risks and opportunities of corporate sustainable development, and demonstrated effective communication methods and the urgency in the field of education through case studies.
Finally, representatives from GoodWe Technologies Co., Ltd., Guangdong Dongpeng Holdings Co., Ltd., and Trina Solar Co., Ltd. shared how their companies deeply integrated ESG concepts into their development. They demonstrated the advanced exploration and application tools of local leading enterprises in ESG management and practices, providing valuable experience and references for participating companies.
